1.What is ISDAS?
Internet Scan Data Acquisition System: ISDAS
JPCERT/CC has started deploying the ISDAS since the fiscal year 2003. ISDAS has a wide distributed arrangement of sensors, and observes various scan activities; worm infections, probing vulnerable systems, etc. We provide the summarized scan treands observed on the web page. Moreover, the observed data are used as a basis of JPCERT/CC activities on publishing alerts and advisories, security awareness programs, etc.
2.About Sensors
ISDAS sensors are placed over the various address blocks; on the edge of xDSL lines, near the IXes, etc. The sensors watch TCP, UDP, and ICMP packets coming from Internet.
3.How to Read the ISDAS Graph
Here is the description on what the ISDAS graph shows
Destination Port Graph
The graph publicized on the web shows the top five accessed ports, based on the mean number of packet counts per sensor by quarter and by year, respectively.

* The unit time differs in each graph (qurarterly and year).
